1. Without chemicals
Organic food does not contain trace of chemicals such as pesticides, preservatives, artificial colors, flavors, sweeteners, additives, stabilizers, trans fats and other ingredients which may cause bad effect on our health.
2. More nutrients
Thanks to organic farming, organic foods are richer in essential nutrients because it is grown in rich soil naturally. So organic food are healthier and help the body function at optimal level. A number of studies have shown that organic products are rich in antioxidants, vitamin C, and minerals calcium, magnesium, chromium and iron.
3. Without hormones, antibiotics and pathogens
In organic farming the livestock are not given routine antibiotics or feed containing animal products which may have been contaminated with pathogens. Also do not use growth hormones. Organic livestock has lower levels of pathogens due to higher standards of humane animal breeding.
4. Without GMO
Genetic engineering of food and genetically modified organisms (GMOs) are a huge threat to our health today and are contained in most traditional food products available on market shelves. As organically produced food can not be genetically modified in any way to eat organic is the only way we can be sure that our food no GMOs.
5. Without ionizing radiation
Organic food can not be treated with ionizing radiation. Irradiation change the structure of macro and trace elements in food and creates free radicals. These free radicals can be combined with already existing chemicals in foods, such as pesticide residues, and to form new chemical substances called radiolotichni products that can attack the cells and their systems.
6. Better taste
The higher amount of nutrients in the soil, healthier plants grown in their season, harvesting after maturation of crops, decreased during storage, lack of processing a high natural sugar content and animals in natural environment humanely – all this contributes to better quality and taste of organic food.
7. Healthy children
Feeding our children with organic food would significantly reduce exposure to pesticide residues and other harmful chemicals. Babies and children are more susceptible to the effects of chemicals than adults because they take more food per kilogram of body weight and still have underdeveloped organs that reduce their ability to expel toxins.
8. Storage Ecosystem
Methods of organic farming helps to preserve our ecosystems. Crop rotation and soil maintain agricultural land in good condition and refraining from the use of chemicals keeps the ecosystem. On the other hand create more natural habitats for native animals, which in turn helps the balance of local ecosystems.
The practice of traditional agriculture is to kill everything that threatens the maximum yield of the crop. In organic farming keeps diversity in the environment. It promotes natural biodiversity and protection of natural genetic diversity of plants, insects and animals.
10. Better Future
Buying organic products increases their consumption, which in turn encourage farmers and processors to produce more organic products. That would make organic products more common, cheaper and more accessible for everyone. Greater demand for organic products would also lead to cessation of traditional agricultural practices and the harmful effects they have on the environment and our health.
